At Voink, your privacy is more than a legal requirement—it’s a core product value. We know how sensitive your recordings and transcripts can be, so we handle your data with great care and keep you in control at every step.
1. Your Data, Your Control
- When you delete a recording, transcription, summary, or AI-chat thread, it is permanently removed from our servers.
- We never sell or rent your personal data, and we collect only what is necessary to provide the service.
2. Information We Collect

3. How We Use Google User Data
If you sign up with Google, we receive only your Google name and e-mail. They are used to:
- Create and secure your Voink account
- Sync your content across devices
- Send essential service notifications
We never use this data for advertising, share it with unaffiliated parties, or train general-purpose AI/ML models. All handling complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use).
4. Technology Partners

All processors are bound by strict data-processing agreements and may use data only to provide their contracted service to Voink.
5. Data Sharing & Transfers
- No selling or renting. Your data is never monetised through ads or brokers.
- Sub-processors. Only the partners listed above handle your data, under contractual safeguards.
- International transfers. Standard Contractual Clauses and strong encryption protect data moving outside the EEA.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
- Active content: Stored while your account is active.
- User-initiated deletion: Items disappear immediately and are purged from backups within 30 days.
- Server logs: Diagnostic logs kept for 14 days, then erased. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
7. Data Security
- End-to-end TLS encryption in transit
- Role-based access controls and mandatory 2FA for staff
- Continuous monitoring, annual penetration tests, quarterly external security reviews
8. Changes to This Policy
We post updates on this page and change the “Updated” date. Material changes are announced in-app or via e-mail at least 14 days before taking effect.
